OnePlus builds some really good-looking limited edition designs. But we haven't seen anything as elegant as the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition. It's a personal preference where I find white or off-white phones with different-than-usual back materials gorgeous. Over the past few years, the company has launched the OnePlus 6 Marvels Edition and 7T Pro McLaren Edition but none of those had that delicacy for me. However, OnePlus is now back with a limited edition of its flagship that looks and feels luxurious.

The OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey Edition features a rear made of "rare microcrystalline rock material" that resembles marble. In my opinion, this makes the device stand-out from any other offering in the range. The company has not only limited the special edition feels to the device but also to the unboxing experience.

This is one of the best-looking smartphone boxes of recent times, in my opinion. You also get Marble Odyssey edition customer SIM tray ejector, stickers, a welcome letter from Pete that speaks about the limited-edition color, and custom wallpapers. However, the charging cable remains the same, that is, of red color. I wish OnePlus had packed a similar colored wire but it is what it is.

OnePlus says that the development of Marble Odyssey Edition took more than a year before it was ready for application and mass production. It is said that the the production process had to be built from ground up with a yield rate of the marble-like rear being 25% of the original glass back, and the final yield rate being 50% as compared to the non-limited-edition phones.

As per the company, creating a single piece of that material involved 9 complex steps in the production process, before being selected (or discarded) by hand for final application. With the marble pattern being one of a kind on every model, no two devices of the OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey Edition have the same design.

The OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey Edition will only be available in India starting 12 noon on June 6. It is priced at Rs 64,999 for 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The same variant in regular colors is selling for Rs 61,999. In my opinion, spending the extra money on this limited edition device is worth it.
